Russia: The country’s president, Dmitry Medvedev, will visit Kiev on May 17 and 18, the office of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich said yesterday.
A press service statement said the date was agreed in a telephone conversation between Yanukovich and Medvedev.
It will be the first visit by the Kremlin leader to the ex-Soviet republic since Yanukovich, who is viewed as more Moscow-leaning in policies than his predecessor Viktor Yushchenko, was elected in February.
